Britain’s judiciary said a 21-year-old man has been sentenced for hacking into teen star Selena Gomez’s Facebook account and updating her status.

Gomez, who is the girlfriend of pop star Justin Bieber, received a torrent of abuse from her fans after the words “Justin Bieber sucks” were posted to her Facebook page.

The man received a 12-month sentence after pleading guilty to crimes under Britain’s Computer Misuse Act.
