The NHL released their 2012-13 schedule Thursday and the Ottawa Senators open on the road in Montreal.

The Sens Army get their first taste of the regular season Saturday, October 13th against Alexander Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals.

When the Habs come to town Wednesday, December 19th, Ottawa celebrates the 95th Anniversary of the first NHL game played in the capital, which saw the Senators host the Canadiens at Ottawa’s Dey’s Arena on December 19th, 1917.

The first time the Leafs come to town is December 28th before they head to Detroit for the Winter Classic January 1st.

For Hockey Day in Canada on February 9th, the Sens host the Calgary Flames. The other games that day include; Edmonton in Philadelphia, Toronto in Montreal and Winnipeg hosts Vancouver. Also on that day the first and only rematch of the Stanley Cup Final with the Los Angeles Kings in New Jersey Devils.

This year’s All Star festivities take place in Columbus with the game being played January 28th.

Ottawa closes out the season on April 13th in Kanata, hosting the Winnipeg Jets.
