OTTAWA – Residents in an east-end neighbourhood received quite a scare Saturday when the Ottawa Police Explosive Disposal Unit filled their street.
Ottawa Police told 1310News that they responded to a call on Mowatt Street after a man found an object in his mother’s backyard.
A robot as well as the Ottawa Police K-9 Unit was sent in and police removed what they call a “possible military ordinance.”
Residents were rushed into their home as a precaution, and when asked, Ottawa Police would not confirm whether the object was in danger of detonating.
