A landmark jazz club in the city has closed its doors.
After more than 10-years as Ottawa’s main jazz venue, Cafe Paradiso on Bank Street has been closed due to financial difficulties.
The Ottawa Citizen reports Cafe Paradiso has actually been closed since June 30th after the Canada Revenue Agency started an investigation into money the club owes for HST claims.
The Owner of the club decided to shut it down for good last night.
Paradiso had been known as the place to go for jazz in Ottawa, featuring live music three nights a week.
