Algonquin College’s Career Samplers are under way for the summer.

The summer day camps give students aged 12-17 a chance to figure out what they want to do once they complete high school.

“It’s an interesting way to spend your summer, or a week of your summer, perhaps learn something new,” said Algonquin’s Manager of the Personal Development Institute, Jan Muska.

“If you’re starting to think about what it is that you want to do when you grow up, it’s a nice combination of having fun, having your kid doing something interesting but also looking forward to the future,” he said.

The classes are on now and will run until August 3.  The courses range from cooking, carpentry and emergency services.
