OTTAWA, Ont. – If your fan, air conditioner or cold shower is no longer cutting it, there’s hope in sight.
A special weather statement, covering a large portion of the province, including Ottawa, warns that above average temperatures will continue Monday and Tuesday.
“Tuesday will be almost unbearable,” said 1310News meteorologist Jill Taylor. “Parts of the province will reach 35, 36, even 37 degrees and that’s without the humidity. Many areas looking at humidex values Tuesday of 40 or above.”
Ottawa will get some relief Wednesday, when the temperature will drop below the 30 degree mark.
“Less humid air moves in for us,” Jill said. “We’ll be closer to where we should be at this time of year. Many areas by the end of the week will actually have below average overnight lows.”
