OTTAWA, Ont. – The federal government has created a new panel to help Canadians with disabilities find jobs.

The panel on Labour Market Opportunities for Persons with Disabilities will identify private sector successes and best practices with regard to hiring people with disabilities.

The panel will also identify barriers and disincentives to their employment.

The panel members include the senior vice president of human resources for Loblaws and the owner of Megleen Inc, which operates several Tim Hortons franchises.

The panel will prepare a report on its findings by December 2012.
