OTTAWA, Ont. – With today being the Civic Holiday, there are the usual closures around the city:

Grocery:

Metro stores and most Loblaws stores will be open with reduced hours on the Civic Holiday Monday.

Beer and Liquor:

Select LCBO stores will be open on Monday. Customers should check for individual store hours with their local LCBO store or online at www.lcbo.com.

Most of The Beer Store locations will be open from noon to 5 p.m.

Malls:

The Rideau Centre will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday. Other major Ottawa malls will also be open with reduced hours. Most stores in the Byward Market will be open.

Client Services:


Ottawa City Hall and all seven Client Service Centres will be closed. The city’s Provincial Offences Court will be closed.

Garbage and recycling:


There will be no curbside green bin, recycling, garbage or leaf and yard waste collection on the Civic Holiday. Pickup will take place on Tuesday. The collection of garbage, green bin, leaf and yard waste and recycling materials will be delayed by one day for the week.

Transit service:

OC Transpo will operate on a Sunday schedule on Monday.

Recreation services:

Many pools, arenas and fitness centres will be open on Monday, but many registered classes are cancelled.

Cultural services:

Most programming at arts centres, archives, galleries, theatres and museums will not be offered on Monday.

Municipal child care services:

City-operated child care centres will be closed on Monday.

Library services:

All branches, departments and services of the Ottawa Public Library will be closed on the Civic Holiday.
