AURORA, Ont. – Ontario Provincial Police say five people died on the province’s highways and waterways over the long weekend.
    
They say four were killed in three separate collisions and the other died in a marine accident.
    
Police say they also laid more than 7,300 charges for speeding, driving while impaired, distracted driving and not wearing a seatbelt.
    
Nearly 200 people were given roadside licence suspensions.
    
There have been 211 deaths on provincial roads and waterways so far this year, compared with 168 at this time last year.
