OTTAWA, Ont. – Mayor Jim Watson will have surgery Tuesday for skin cancer.

Watson also had an operation in 2007 to have skin cancer removed from his face.

Watson went for a routine checkup when two spots were discovered on his neck and temple.  

It is expected to be a 45 minute procedure.  

Watson has tweeted that he hopes to be back to work Wednesday.
