OTTAWA, Ont. – Litterbugs are costing the city millions every year.
People leaving their coffee cups, food wrappers and cigarette butts lying where they fall costs the city $5-million a year, according to the Sun.
Cigarette butts take up to 15 years to decompose. Pop and beer cans, between 200 and 500 years.
A Styrofoam cup will still be around for about a million years, after you’re gone.
