OTTAWA, On. — Two neighbourhoods are facing construction activity this weekend.
Work hours are being extended on the Bronson Ave. reconstruction project to include Saturdays.
Crews will be on the job between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. until December.
They are working to to ensure the intersection at Gladstone and Bronson can be reopened after the Labour Day weekend as people return to work and school.
The $30-million project will replace water and sewer pipes that in some cases are 130 years old.
There will also be some construction going this weekend at Lansdowne Park.
The work will take place until 6 p.m. Saturday in the area east of the Horticulture Building.
Some heavy equipment may be needed but the city says the work will abide by the City’s noise bylaw.
