Ottawa, ON. – Some comments made by Ottawa’s Medical Officer of Health has one soda company concerned.
Doctor Isra Levy revealed this week that he wouldn’t rule out banning certain products, including fizzy, sugary drinks, with OPH’s new Healthy Eating and Active Living Strategy.
The statements have Coca Cola reps riled up as the company pays $135,000 for the rights to sell its products in city vending machines.
In a letter, one Coca Cola district sales manager says that the consumption of soft drinks has declined while obesity rates have increased.
