Vars, ON. – Ottawa fire fighters were called to a farmhouse on Forced Road near Rockdale and Russell Roads just before 7 a.m. Tuesday.

While it’s not clear what sparked the blaze, firefighters believe it started in the kitchen.

Fortunately no one was inside the home when the fire broke out, and crews were able to prevent it from spreading to the neighbouring barn.

An estimate in damages is still unknown.
