OTTAWA-Ottawa Police are on the hunt for two women accused of stealing necklaces right off the necks of there victims.
The Sun reports the incidents, which have happened across the city, see the women try to pitch necklaces to victims who are already wearing necklaces.
They let the people try on the necklace, then when they take it off, they also grab the victims necklace and then they bolt.
The women have stolen around 20 gold necklaces using the method, usually in the morning or in the afternoon.
One woman is described as between 25 and 30 years old, while the other is between 50 to 60 years old.
The both spoke English with accents, and are described as South Asian, Middle Eastern or Hispanic, with tanned skin.
They have been seen fleeing in different vehicles, including a dark-coloured four-door sedan and a white, gold or dark-coloured minivan.
Anyone with information is asked to call Ottawa Police or Crime Stoppers.
