OTTAWA – Former astronaut and Liberal MP Marc Garneau says he wants to run for the party’s leadership if he can round up a team to work with him.
“I have not completed my homework in terms of trying to put together a team,” he told 680News.
“I want to run but I have to have a team.”
He added that the campaigning would require funding.
Justin Trudeau and Dominic LeBlanc are among those considering throwing their hat in the ring.
The campaign for Liberal leadership gets underway Nov. 14. Members and supporters will select a new leader in Ottawa on April 14.
