OTTAWA-An Ottawa teenager is facing more than 20 charges in three armed robberies last week.

Two convenience stores, one near Baseline Road and Fisher Avenue, the other on Meadowlands Drive near Prince of Wales Drive, were robbed in the early morning hours last Wednesday.  

In both cases, the culprit was a young man armed with a knife.  

Around 9:30 p.m. Saturday, the same suspect reportedly threatened a pizza delivery man with a knife in the Merivale Road and Rosenthal Avenue.  

Nineteen-year-old Hovannes Babikian is facing 23 charges, including robbery, attempted robbery and possession of a dangerous weapon.  

He appeared in court Tuesday.
