TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — A man wanted on a Canada-wide arrest warrant for a triple murder in northern Quebec has been arrested in Florida.

After a three hour search involving the police canine unit and a police helicopter, Justin Bresaw, 35, was captured after a violent struggle in Tallahassee.

Tallahassee Police spokesman Dave Northway tells 1310News, “At one point during the struggle, Mr. Bresaw said to the officer, ‘You’ll have to kill me.’”

Bresaw was seen in northern Kanata on September 18, one day after three people died in a house fire in Amos, Quebec, 500 km north of Montreal.

The bodies of two men and a woman were found in the home.

Quebec provincial police say the extradition process is underway to bring Bresaw back to Canada.
