OTTAWA – The Canada Agriculture Museum celebrated the harvest season this long weekend.
Many families spent their Thanksgiving having fall fun at the farm.
“We came to Ottawa for the weekend,” said Tanya, who is from Pickering, Ontario. Her and her husband brought their son. “He found an alpaca who has the same birthday as him, so it is exciting for him.”
Horses pulled a wagon carrying parents and their children around the farm, while other children pet different farm animals, including sheep and goats.
“We come here almost every week. It’s what we wanted to do on a Monday,” said mom, Jenny.
She added her children love seeing the animals.
There were also some harvest theme activities, like making bread, apple cider and popcorn.
