TORONTO, Ont. – The McGuinty government has announced they are opening 17 new parenting and family literacy centres around the province.
“They offer young children important, fun learning opportunities in the critical early years of their lives,” Education Minister Laurel Broten told CityNews Channel, Wednesday.
“They help build essential literacy, numeracy and social skills through music, play and stories – skills that can help them develop a solid foundation for a lifetime of success.”
The expansion is one of 20 youth action plan initiatives being put forth by the provincial government.
