An Ottawa police officer, convicted of several criminal charges in 2010, was relieved of his duties Friday.
Jeffrey Gulick was a constable when he was charged in February 2009 with mischief, uttering death threats, escaping lawful custoday and possession of a dangerous weapon.
He was found guilty of the charges under the Police Services Act in January 2010.
After an appeal to the divisional court was dismissed October 3, he was given seven days to resign. When he didn’t he was fired.
