OTTAWA, Ont. – What should be done about gangs in the capital?
That’s the question being tackled at City Hall Wednesday and Thursday. The two part forum is entitled “Taking Action Together: Addressing Gangs in our City.”
“There are important questions to ask,” said Ottawa police officer John Medeiros. “When we are talking about a youth at risk, what are we talking about? How do we coordinate our services to help a young person at risk? How do we coordinate our services to help someone gravitating towards gangs to entice them away?”
The forum starts at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday at Ottawa City Hall.
If you can’t make it, you can ask questions and offer suggestions through Twitter, by mentioning @ottawapolice, and using the hash tag #endgangsottawa.
