OTTAWA, Ont. -  A fire in Ottawa’s Heatherington area has displaced three people, and sent a woman to hospital.

Firefighters were called to 1535 Heatherington at 2:30 a.m., where the bedroom of unit 224 had caught fire. Crews had the fire under control within ten minutes and kept the flames contained to the bedroom.

One woman was taken to hospital as a precaution and is under observation.

Ottawa fire crews believe the fire was caused by a candle, but are investigating.  

Damages are estimated at $10,000.
