SOUTH STORMONT, Ont. – A man has been killed in a collision on County Road 2 in South Stormont Township.
According to the OPP, Nicholas Baker, 22, of South Stormont was driving a 2006 Saturn west bound on County Road 2 around 6 p.m. Thursday, when he crossed the center line and struck a 2008 Ford Explorer.
Baker was rushed to hospital where he was later pronounced dead. The woman, 53, driving the Ford Explorer suffered minor injuries.
The collision caused a secondary crash between a 2004 Toyota Matrix and a 2005 Tacoma pick-up truck. The occupants of both vehicles were treated for minor injuries.
County Road 2 was closed for approximately seven hours while emergency crews worked the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
