The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has once again added more meat to an ongoing national recall linked to a strain of e.coli which infected an Alberta plant.
The affected beef originating from the X-L l plant in Brooks, Albertal has manufacturing dates of august 24 through the 29th and September 5th.
The expanded recall includes and is not limited to top sirloin, fast fry steaks, and beef tenderloin sold at Real Canadian Superstores.
The CFIA is warning the public to check where they get their meat, as unlabelled and/or unbranded beef products sold at large and small stores and even local butchers has also been included in this expanded recall.
16 people have become ill from consuming meat originating from the X-L foods plant in Alberta and over 1800 products have been pulled off store shelves since last month.

* Top sirloin steaks/fast-fry steaks/ best before dates from September 6- October 12/Sold at Real Canadian Superstores/sold in provinces of ON,AB,BC,MB,NT,SK
*Boneless beef tenderloin/best before dates from September 21/Sold at Halle Services Allimentaire/sold in province of QC
*Boneless beef tenderloin/best before dates from September 19 and 27/sold at Les Viandes P.P. Halle Ltee/sold in the province of QC
*Beef strip loin/best before dates from September 12/sold at Halles Services Allimentaire/sold in province of QC
