OTTAWA, Ont. – Flags are flying at half-staff at Carleton University.

The school of social work at Carleton gathered this morning for a memorial service for fellow student, Krista Johnson, struck and killed Thursday evening while riding her bike on Bronson Avenue.

The school is also providing counselling services for students.

Visitation for the Krista, 27, will be Tuesday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Malcolm, Deavitt and Binhammer Funeral Home on Renfrew Street in Pembroke.

The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 p.m. at Wesley United Church in Pembroke.    

Krista was a teacher’s assistant at Carleton University and was working on her masters.

Donations can be made in Krista’s memory through the Krista Johnson Memorial Trust Fund.
