TORONTO – It’s expected a fourth candidate will jump into to the Ontario Liberal leadership race on Saturday.

Charles Souza has scheduled a news conference in his Mississauga riding this morning, a day after resigning as Citizenship and Immigration Minister.

Premier Dalton McGuinty has required that any minister seeking the leadership must quit cabinet.

Souza, a former banker, was first elected to the legislature in 2007.

Former cabinet ministers Sandra Pupatello, Glen Murray and Kathleen Wynne are the only declared candidates in the race to succeed Premier Dalton McGuinty.

But they’re likely to have more company next week.

Former provincial cabinet ministers Gerard Kennedy and Eric Hoskins are expected to announce their intentions within days.
