The slate of contenders vying to replace Dalton McGuinty as leader of Ontario’s Liberals is set to grow to six today.
Eric Hoskins, who resigned from cabinet last week, is expected to launch his leadership campaign at a news conference Tuesday morning.
Former MP and one-time education minister Gerard Kennedy, who lost the leadership race to McGuinty in 1996, launched another bid yesterday to become party leader and premier.
Kennedy joined Sandra Pupatello, Charles Sousa, Glen Murray and Kathleen Wynne, saying he should lead the party because he’s untainted by scandals such as eHealth and Ornge.
Potential Liberal leaders have until Nov. 23 to launch their bids and sign up new members who will vote for delegates to be sent to the convention in Toronto in late January.
