Environmentalists expect thousands to show up in Washington Sunday for a protest rally outside the White House.
They’ll call on the Obama Administration to scrap plans for the Keystone X-L pipeline, which would carry bitumen from Alberta to refineries in Texas.
Although Obama temporarily blocked the mega-project 10 months ago, supporters expect he`ll soon give it the green light now that he`s been elected to a second term.
The Harper government strongly supports the $7 billion project.
