Men are often pegged as last minute shoppers who go to the gas station or hardware store to buy their wife’s Christmas present, but a recent poll shows otherwise.
According to the LifeExperiences.ca 2012 Holiday Shopping Survey, 49 per cent of men spend time thinking about what gift their loved one would like and 61 per cent want it to be thoughtful.
Most men 1310News spoke with, however, said they spend little time thinking about what to buy their wife.
“I don’t have the time. I just let her buy what she wants”, said George. His wife told 1310News she does not mind because that means she does not have to exchange or return anything.
“We have been married long enough that we get what we need”, Dino told 1310News. “The gifts are not as important as being with the family.”
Cameron, on the other hand, said he does spend time thinking about to buy his wife because he wants to get her the right gift.
How much thought do men put into Christmas gifts?
