OTTAWA, Ont. — Ottawa police say a baby girl who was the subject of an amber alert has been found safe.
Ottawa police Inspector Mike Maloney says officers found the one-year-old girl with her father in a vehicle in Gatineau, Que., around 2 p.m. Monday.
Police had issued an amber alert moments earlier, saying the baby was abducted Sunday night by her father and her safety could be at risk.
Maloney says officers have arrested 26-year-old Junior Kabange, but no charges have been laid so far.
