OTTAWA, Ont. – Good news for commuters in the capital! A stretch of Bronson Avenue reopened overnight Tuesday.
A single lane is now open in both directions between Catherine Street and Gladstone Avenue, a month ahead of schedule. Buses that had been detoured along the road are back to their normal route as well.
The section of road has been closed for water and sewer line work as part of the Bronson Avenue Renewal Project.
The construction project is the first phase of the two-year $30-million project to replace pipes that are 130 years old in some cases. Click here to view project timelines.
