OTTAWA, Ont. — A construction worker is fighting for his life in hospital after he fell from a roof Wednesday afternoon.
Paramedics were called to the scene at St Paul’s University on Main Street around 3:20 p.m. The man had been making repairs to the roof of a building when he fell about 50 feet to the ground. He was rushed to hospital with life-threatening head injuries, a punctured lung and serious fractures to his legs and ribs. He remains in critical condition.
The Ontario Ministry of Labour has been called in to investigate.
