The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is warning the public not too consume cherry tomatoes made by the Krown brand as well as various store-made party trays containing the tomatoes.

The CFIA says the food has been contaminated with salmonella and stores are voluntarily recalling the cherry tomatoes.

The voluntary recall is for all Krown brand cherry tomato packets distributed in a 551ml quantity with sold dates from November 13 to 21 of 2012 as well as Safeway Store party-trays with sold dates from November 14 to 21 of this year.

The products have been distributed throughout Ontario as well as British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, North West Territories and the Yukon.

There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of these cherry tomatoes.
