OTTAWA – Fire crews battled a barn fire south-west of the city near Richmond Thursday night.

Crews were called to 6805 Mansfield Road around 10 p.m. where they found a 60X30 wide barn completely engulfed in flames.

The barn which collapsed as a result of the fire did not house animals; it was used to store hay and machinery.

There are no reports of injuries.

The cause is unknown.
