A garage fire in Centretown Sunday morning caused an estimated $25,000 in damages.

Ottawa Fire was called to the scene just before 9 a.m. at TL Garage on Catherine Street near Bronson Avenue.

Emergency services were called about black smoke coming from the two-hoist garage.

Captain Paul Fortin told 1310News a car inside the building was on fire, but they were able to put it out fairly quickly.

“There’s smoke damage and the car that was burning is finished,” said Fortin.

No one was injured in the blaze and investigations into the cause are ongoing.

Damage estimates are $15,000 on the building and $10,000 on its contents.
