TORONTO, Ont. – According to The Toronto Star, Mayor Rob Ford can run in a byelection. The judge in the case has taken out the reference to the word ” term” in his initial ruling, the report says.

Ford’s legal team will ask for a stay in the case on Dec. 5 and the judge is expected to hear his appeal in early 2013.

If he’s not granted a stay, Ford’s last day in office is expected to be Dec. 10.
