OTTAWA, Ont. – The calendar may have said December 4, but it certainly didn’t feel like the holiday season in the capital on Tuesday.
The mercury climbed to 17.6 degrees in the afternoon, unofficially obliterating the previous record high of 13.9, set back in 1982.
While the temperatures may have spiked during the day, the low is expected to drop to minus 2 overnight – a swing of almost 20 degrees.
A normal high for December 4 is minus 1 degree.
