DRUMMONDVILLE, Que. – The mother of three dead Quebec children has been charged with three counts of first-degree murder.
Sonia Blanchette was arraigned in Drummondville Wednesday, three days after the children were found at her home.
Blanchette will undergo an evaluation to determine whether she is fit to face criminal charges.
The 33-year-old woman did not say a word during her court appearance.
Provincial police began questioning Blanchette following her release from hospital earlier today.
The children’s funeral will be held in Acton Vale on Saturday.
