OTTAWA – Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a British Columbia man who they believe may be in the Capital.

A Canada-wide warrant was issued for 58-year-old Kurt Derksen after he left a Port-Coquitlam hospital on Thursday.

Derksen was granted a day-pass which allowed him to visit his brother in Richmond, BC. But he never returned.

Port-Coquitlam RCMP believe he may have traveled to Ottawa.

Derksen is described as:

  • white.
  •  5’9″.
  • 201lbs.
  • Short brown hair, blue eyes, full beard, and possibly wearing glasses.

Ottawa Police advise the public not to approach Deksen, but instead call at 613-236-1222 or Crime Stoppers.
