The seven contenders in the Ontario Liberal leadership race faced off Sunday in Thunder Bay.

It was the second official debate in the campaign to replace Premier Dalton McGuinty, with the winner being chosen in Toronto in January.

The candidates debated issues surrounding education and the looming one day walk-outs by Elementary school teachers.  Other topics which were debated included issues facing Northern Ontario communities, high-speed internet and tourism and the liberals recent decision to freeze plans to convert a coal-fired generating station in the city to natural gas.

The opposition Progressive Conservatives say the Liberals have actually cancelled the project, while the Liberals say it isn’t true.
