SMITHS FALLS, Ont. — About 300 students at Smiths Falls District Collegiate Institute held a protest of their own against Bill 115, and the job action taken by their teachers that cancels all extra curricular activities.

Students walked out of class at around 8 a.m. Tuesday and occupied the cafeteria, playing music and performing skits in defiance of the job action being held across the province.

Students are demanding that the provincial government repeal the bill that would impose a contract on teachers if an agreement isn’t reached by the end of the month.
