The latest round of one-day strikes by elementary teachers will hit three school boards Thursday.

Teachers will be out in York Region, Trillium Lakelands and Renfrew.

The walkouts will end their first week Friday in Simcoe County, Kawartha Pine Ridge near Peterborough and Upper Grand around Guelph.

The teachers are protesting Bill 115, which allows the province to impose a contract on them and stop them from striking.

Premier McGunty has said the government will not intervene as long as the walkouts only last for one day.
