OTTAWA, Ont. — An arrest has been made in the murder of a Barrhaven man, whose body was found near Calabogie more than four months after his disappearance.

Fouad Nayel, 28, had been reported missing on June 18.  The day before he had told his family he was going to Petawawa for a few hours, but would be back with Chinese food to celebrate Father’s Day.

His badly decomposed body was discovered on November 11, in a remote wooded area off Norton Road in greater Madawaska Township.

Officers with Ottawa Police and Ontario Provincial Police arrested a 29-year-old man Wednesday morning, searching two separate Ottawa locations.

The suspect, who is facing a murder charge, will appear in court in Ottawa on Thursday.
