OTTAWA, Ont. – The City of Ottawa has declared this week to be Salvation Army Week, in support of the charity’s efforts to give hope to people in need in our community.

The Sally Ann says December is an important time. More than 50 per cent of money raised during the year comes in during the Christmas season.

This is also the final week of their annual kettle campaign.

A flag raising ceremony with Mayor Jim Watson will mark the event Monday morning at Festival Plaza outside Ottawa City Hall.
