Ottawa, ON – Four people are thanking a couple volunteer firefighters for saving their lives after they were rescued from their burning vehicle on Friday night.

The two firefighters from Long Sault happened to come upon the car on the 417 eastbound, just before the Nicholas off-ramp, and they sprung into action, breaking the windows to get the occupants out.

The people, including a young boy, were pulled out just moments before the car exploded.

Just minor injuries for the driver, no one else was hurt, and there’s still no word on what caused the car fire.
