OTTAWA – The 100th anniversary of the Canadian Figure Skating Championships at the Canadian Tire Centre, a big name addition for Ottawa Race Weekend and the demise of democracy are among the topics being featured on Talk to the Hand.
Thursday’s show rundown:
-Ottawa’s Elizabeth Manley, silver medalist from the 1988 Winter Olympics, will join Ed to talk about the 100th Canadian Figure Skating Championships.
-Frank Graves of Ekos research will talk to Ed about Canadians loss of faith in democracy.
-Darcy Whyte is an aviation enthusiast who will join Ed to talk about Ottawa’s first paper airplane gathering.
-Wild winter weather has been putting a strain on insurance companies and Ed will talk to Pete Karageorgos of the Insurance Bureau of Canada about anticipated rate hikes and some ideas of how to protect your home.
-John Halvorson, President of Ottawa Race Weekend, joins Ed to talk about a big name participant in this year’s race along with an update on preparations for this year’s event.
-Andy Gryc of Ottawa’s QNX joins Ed to talk about their new development that gives your fuel efficient vehicle the sound of a muscle car.
The new talk show is hosted by veteran broadcaster Ed Hand on 1310News Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
