Trial date set for police officer charged with criminal harassment, theft

OTTAWA – A trial date has been set for an Ottawa police officer who is facing several charges.

Constable Jason Mallett, 43, is facing charges of criminal harassment, careless storage of a handgun and theft of a city-owned defibrillator.

Mallett is also facing an investigation by internal affairs.

The court date is set for March, 2016.
