OTTAWA – Two people remain in hospital after a serious collision in Stittsville.
The crash happened around 9 a.m. Thursday, at Hazeldean Road and Huntmar Drive.
A police constable in his 30’s was responding to a call with lights and sirens on when he T-boned a car driven by a 52-year-old woman.
An air ambulance was ordered for the officer, but that call was cancelled when he regained consciousness at the scene. He was taken to hospital by ambulance, along with a police escort.
Both patients are in the Civic Hospital in serious, but stable condition.
A portion of Hazeldean Road was closed from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Thursday.
