OTTAWA – The Ottawa-Carleton District School Board will hold a public meeting Wednesday night concerning the possible closure of Rideau High School, on St. Laurent Blvd.
School board staff have recommended closing Rideau High School and transferring all of its 400 students to Gloucester High School.
The open house will take place from 6 – 9 p.m. at the Gloucester High School on Olgivie Rd.
Nearly 170 parents attended a public meeting on Tuesday night to express their concerns over the potential closure of seven west-end schools, according to Postmedia.
Schools on the chopping block include Regina, Leslie Park, Grant and Century elementary schools. Greenbank, J.H. Putman and D.A. Moodie middle schools are also in jeopardy.
